Christmas Craft Night!

Our Fall Craft Night was a blast. It was so fun to get to know some of the ladies better. Thank you for all that came. Since, it was a positive event and I have had several people bummed that they weren't able to make it and would like to come again, I am having a Christmas Craft Night.

Here's how it works. I provide projects for you to make, all the supplies needed to make them and step-by-step instructions on how to make it for those who might be nervous about making one. I also provide some snacks to eat, friendly conversation for visiting and an opportunity for a girl's night out. All crafts are easy to make.

If you are not able to come and make your craft with us, I also provide them as do it yourself kits (same price as to make project) or I can make them for you for an additional charge. The charge is usually $5, however, this month I am offering a discount to just $3 on most projects. The pricing is posted below.

So here is the information and projects.

Who's invited: Everyone that wants to come!
When: Thursday, November 18th
Time: 7:00 p.m. until we are done
Where: My house - I'll give directions when you order

ORDERS NEED TO BE E-MAILED TO ME AT KMENNEAR@MSN.COM BY OR BEFORE SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 14TH, SO I HAVE TIME TO CUT THEM OUT.

1. Santa, Define Good magnet
$5 - make and take price or DIY kit price
$6 - finished product price

2. Magnet Stand
$15 - make and take price or DIY kit price

These stands are so fun. They are perfect to put pictures on, use as a recipe holder or use as holiday decor. I try to make a craft magnet for these stands for each holiday for those that already have one or would like one.

3. Santa, Define Good

$6 - finished product price

4. Joy w/ornament
$7 - make and take price or DIY kit
$10 - finished product price

5. Stocking

7. BOWS sign
$8 - make and take price or DIY kit (does not include paper)
$11 - finished product price (paper selection may vary)

This project I designed as a possible Christmas gift. The sign has ribbon hanging down so that you can hang bows from off the ribbon. I didn't include paper on this project, because I wanted it to match your decor. Paper available, per request.

$13 - finished product

9. Santa
$10 - make and take price or DIY kit
$13 - finished product price

10. Days 'til Christmas calendar
$12 - make and take price or DIY kit price
$15 - finished product price

This is a fun project for kids to participate in and countdown the days until Christmas. The rock is a magnet and starts on day one and each day they can slide it to the next day up until Christmas. The back has magnets so it can be displayed on your fridge or if you prefer, holes can be drilled to hang from ribbon on a wall. This can also be displayed on the magnet stand.

11. Apothecaries (set of 2)
$20 - make and take price or DIY kit
$25 - finished product price
I LOVE the apothecaries and it is one of our most popular items. They are so fun to fill with different things for the holidays or with year round items or with candy. They can be placed on your counter, shelves or tables.
12. Wreath Stand
$25 - make and take price or DIY kit price
$30 - finished product price
Wreath holder is 26 inches tall in cream with an antique glaze over the top with an antique bronze hook. Works well for console or end table. Wreath holder is great for wreath, plaques and decor. I try to provide different items that can be displayed on the stand. Wreath in stand picture does not come with project. Also, I have a larger stand availabe for standing on the floor. The price for that one is an additional $5.
These are fun projects and make some great Christmas gifts as well. If you would like to make one or two or three... please e-mail me with your order at kmennear@msn.com by, Sunday (1 week) November 14th. Also if you have questions, please feel free to e-mail me as well. The sooner I get your orders, the better for me so that I can get the wood cut.
Hope to see you there!

Fall/Halloween Craft Night

Hey everyone,

Since moving to Utah, I have started to meet some great people and get to know my cousins better. It has been great and I have loved it. When I lived in Idaho, I often did craft nights for my friends. It was a blast and has grown to meeting more and more friends this past year. I thought what a great chance for me to get to spend some time getting to know people here so, I am putting on another craft night.

What is a craft night, you ask? Well let me give you the low down. Craft night is something I put together for a chance for ladies to have a girls night out, visit, have a good time and make soemthing AWESOME!!! I provide some snacks, a place to do the crafts (usually my lovely garage), time to visit with friends, and all the supplies that you would need to put together the craft(s) that you purchased. All of my crafts are simple, and I walk you through making them step-by-step, so even someone who thinks they are not crafty, can still do it. Also if you enjoy these crafts, but feel that you can only make one that evening or can't attend and want one anyway, I can put together "to go kits" for you that have instructions and most of the materials that we used that evening for you to do at a later time, or I can make them for you for an additional charge of $5 for each craft. This really is a lot of fun and I welcome anyone who would like to come. Okay, now for the crafts:

Date: Thursday, September 30, 2010

Time: 7:00 p.m. until we get done

Place: My garage - I will send you directions when you RSVP

ORDERS NEED TO BE E-MAILED TO ME BY SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 26TH, SO I HAVE TIME TO MAKE THEM.

1. GIVE THANKS MAGNET - $6
2. MAGNET STAND - $15

Can purchase separately or together. We have done the stand in the past and I always try to come up with different ideas to display on them for those who have purchased them previously. The stand also makes great recipe holders or picture holders. This time the item to display on it is a fall pumpkin with a sign that says give thanks. This project is easy and quick to do. The stand is moderately hard to do, but I will be helping you.
3. BOO SIGN - $8 10 3/4 inches tall for the B and 7 1/2 inches for the O's.

Project includes everything seen, however the stars will be cut out of wood. This project is easy.
4. WITCH'S HAT - $8.50 11 inches tall

Everything in this project is included. If you would prefer to use your own ribbon, I will lower the cost to $8. This project is easy.
5. SIMPLE BLESSING SIGN - $10 13 inches tall.
6. WREATH HOLDER - $25 26 inches tall and works well on a console table.

These projects can be sold together or separately. The sign is scrapbooked and fits perfectly on the wreath stand. Everything for this project is provided. I will provide a couple of different coordinating papers to fit your interest. The other picture shows three flowers instead of one. This project would be considered moderately hard. Everything is provided for this project except for the ribbon to lace through the wood to hang from.
7. SET OF THREE FALL PUMPKINS - $15 tallest: 15 1/4 inch tall, medium: 13 1/4 inch tall, and the smallest: 8 inches tall. These pumpkins are made out of 2 inch wood to provide for stability in standing. They will be made with three coordinating papers and jute will be around the stem. (I didn't get the chance to put it on before the picture.) I have shown two different pictures of this one. The first one is with the sanded edges. The other two are with the beveled edges. You can have them made either way, just let me know. This project is super easy and perfect for fall.

8. APOTHECARIES - $20
These are ones we have done in the past, but because I have had such a huge desire to make them right now, I am throwing them is there as well. I think people are thinking Christmas gifts with these, and they would be perfect Christmas gifts. These are easy to make and come in different colors. I have a lime green one, which is popular, and usually any other color that you would prefer, but black is the most popular. Please let me know if you would prefer a different color.

As stated before, if you would rather just purchase these crafts already made, they are an additional $5 per craft for me to make.
It would be so fun to have you come and make crafts with me on the 30th. Please RSVP to me with your order by Sunday, September 26th. My e-mail is kmennear@msn.com

The Vintage Barrel

The Vintage Barrel is my new website. My hope is that I may be able to share my craft projects with others. I will eventually try to provide projects that you can buy from here. I will share on here when I will be doing craft nights. I will also try to share different techniques or fun easy to do craft tutorials. I hope that you may find something on here that you find interesting and could help you in your crafting fun. Enjoy!
